The energy surrounding the Guild right now is electrifying! So much is going on and we're all so excited. Here are the details for the ART collaboration and important dates to remember. Fall ReflectionsThe theme for this collaboration is "Fall Reflections," an introspective view on relaxation, acceptance, and coming into one's own. In this light, artworks and storytelling will combine to bring a warm sense of home, growth, and renewal for a visual storytelling experience for the community. Fall Reflections is a 2-month collaboration with the Tusc. Co. Art Guild. The idea is simple: We write stories and poetry based on artwork from the Art Guild. Artists will submit their paintings to the Writers Guild for consideration, then writers will select a painting that "calls to them and their creativity." The blending of art and storytelling will then come together at two different events, one in September at the Dover Public Library and the other in October at the Tusc. Co. (Phila) Library. The timeline for participation in this collaboration is as follows:
Creative formatting is encouraged for poetry Double-sided - not single Typed in Times New Roman 12pt font Title and author name at the top NOTE: Works submitted will be part of both shows, on display for visitors to read, from September through October. Copies will become the property of the Writers Guild for our archives and scrapbook (creating memories of what we do in the community), but authors retain 100% ownership and copyright at all times and will receive recognition for their authorship. MARK YOUR CALENDARS for this wonderful blending of art and literary work SEPTEMBER 16, 2026 - Dover Public Library - 5-7pm (Community Room) All month long, the paintings will be displayed in the Community Room and the written work will be hanging beside the artwork, safely attached to the wall in laminated sheets.
